I LOCATION: The complex is located on the land of the village of Arbanassi, Eastwards of the TV Tower. The terrain covers an area of 4 decares with a panoramic view of Veliko Tarnovo. The building is monolithic with the shape and outlook of a Medieval Castle. It is accessed via the Arbanassi – Sheremetya road.
II ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN: In line with the exclusively entertaining functions of the complex the building is designed to resemble a Medieval Castle. The entrance façade is flanked by two corner towers. The approach to the main gate is via a wooden drawbridge over a moat with decorative pool and rockery. All the façade walls are crenellated by battlements and merlons. The side walls are additionally decorated with plastic elements – pillars and arches.
III FUNCTIONALITY: The main function of the building is to serve as a restaurant and an attraction complex. The interior is a hall with 440 seats, organized as stands around a central stage that will be used for dancing, performances, shows and so on. The visitors’ seats are arranged in three semi-levels as well as in two galleries – above the entrance and in the backstage. All the seats have a direct view of the stage and band-stand. The natural illumination of the hall is facilitated by the Oberlicht (transom) of the roof plate decorated with a ciborium. At the back of the complex there are the kitchen premises and above them a two-level hotel part with 16 rooms. A separate stair-case in the northeastern corner of the building provides for an independent access to the hotel part.
IV BUILDING CONSTRUCTION: The building is a monolithic reinforced concrete construction – with girders in the main hall and without in the other premises. All the façade walls are decorated with dry sandstone. The woodwork is wood color PVC, the window vaults are finished with chamotte bricks.
